I purchased this charger as a spare, so I could charge multiple batteries at the same time. I have recently come to find that this charger does not correctly charge a battery. It will charge to 50%(two blinking lights) then go to 100%(solid green) When I put in my camera(Canon 5D MKIII) it shows a 58% charge and a two-thirds charge life. My batteries were old so I thought they were just failing and replaced them. For a test I decided to use the charger that came with the camera. It turned out that when placed that same battery in the charger that came with the camera it charged correctly. That is a single blink, then a double, then triple, then green. In camera showed 100%, with a life of two-thirds again. Unforturnately I didn't do this sooner as the warranty is long since over (2021) I would have never thought...

I bought this to be able to charge two batteries at a time along with my original Canon LC-E6 charger. Works like a champ and keeps me shooting when doing long tournaments.

Wish Canon would make a multi-battery charger

When using the LC-E6 Charger. An orange light will flash rapidly there is a communication error between the battery and charger. When it is flashing 1-3 times a second, the battery is charging.

I have multiple instances of LP-E6, including 2 ...

I have multiple instances of LP-E6, including 2 that came with EOS R and R5 bodies. I didn't pay attention to differences with those newest instances, but now I notice that three of the units are marked as Model DS510101; those units show an output amperage of 1.2A. The unit without that model designation (presumably older) shows amperage of 1A. What is the benefit of that extra .2A output? Is it important for LP-E6N and/or LP-E6NH variants of the batter packs?

FWIW, I use the LC-E6 charger with a Canon LP-E6 battery pack. My charger's output is listed as 1.2 Amps at 8.4V DC. I've been using this combination for a number of years and have never observed any issues; battery life between charges is almost miraculous, charging times are normal, and I have not observed any overheating of either the charger or the battery

The Canon LC-E6 Charger for LP-E6 Battery Pack listed above may be used to charge the Canon LP-E6 Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.2V, 1800mAh) which is included with the Canon EOS 70D DSLR camera. While it does not charge the Canon EOS 70D itself (you would need an AC adapter to provide continuous power to the camera -- the Canon ACK-E6 AC Adapter Kit for Select Canon Cameras, B&H # CAACKE6), the Canon LC-E6 Charger for LP-E6 Battery Pack is the correct charger that was originally included with the Canon EOS 70D DSLR camera.

I have a brand new charger that came with my R5. ...

I have a brand new charger that came with my R5. Are the 0, 50, 75, 100 markers supposed to light up when the battery reaches that level of charge? I just see a green charge light.

The indicator light next to the "0" will blink a certain number of times in accordance with the amount the battery is charged. At 0% it will blink once, at 50% is will blink twice, and at 70% it will blink three times. If you have a solid green light that means the battery is fully charged.
