My Brother PT-1830 indicated DC in 7-9V. So, is this really compatible with my label printer?
Careful!! The power adapter for the PT-1230 delivers 7 - 9 VDC at 1.6 amps. Your printer may require more current which would over tax this adapter and short the internal fuse. If, on the other hand, you are attempting to use your printer's adapter you had better make sure it can provide the 7 - 9 Volts direct current and at least 1.6 amps.If you're trying to save money by using another adapter on the PT-1230 I would not recommend it.
