This is one of my favorite mounting systems for the violin as it doesn't dampen the sound quality of the instrument and can be positioned in a variety of ways that don't get in the way of the performer.

This clip holds well and permits the use of a DPA4099 mic on violins and violas, allowing flexible placement and aim of the mic.
