The 695CX combines the strength of magnesium and carbon fiber. The monopod is crafted from carbon fiber using an exclusive, patented process. Manfrotto engineers have replaced all aluminum components with magnesium alloy. The switch represents a lateral move in sturdiness, yet a substantial gain in strength and overall reduction of weight. The average weight reduction of magnesium compared to aluminum is about 35%.
