Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent!!!! I bought this as a replacement for the ZEIZZ lens cleaner, that one only smudged the grease on my UV. It was very frustrating having to clean it over and over again to only have grease all over the UV. I tough there was something wrong with the tiffen wipes, then I used the micro fiber cloth, all with the same results, finally I decided to get rid of the ZEIZZ and take a plunge with the tiffen, and what a difference!!! IT WORKS as advertised. You won't be disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaves Residue Whenever I use Tiffen's Lens Cleaner, it leaves a residue on my lens or filters. I do not clean my lens or filters that often, so in order to provide an opinion based on several experiences, I took a clean 58mm filter and used the Tiffen cleaner on it today. Using a technique recommend by most manufacturers of lens cleaning solutions, I moistened the edge of clean lens tissue and carefully wiped the filter in a circular motion starting at its center and moving out towards the metal rim. I then turned the dampened tissue over to wipe the filter with an unused surface of the tissue. I quickly followed with another piece of lens tissue to wipe the filter dry. As I said above, the Tiffen Lens Cleaner left a residue on the filter, especially at the edges, where the glass meets the metal rim of the filter. This test brought to mind past experience with this product. Just as it was today, it became a project to remove the residue from the filter. When I fogged the lens with my breath and used a microfiber cloth to try to remove the residue, it remained. I had to use warm tap water and several dry lens tissues to remove the residue and dry the filter before screwing it back on my lens. I thought, maybe it is my technique? Therefore, I went on line and found out that Tiffen Lens Cleaner is Kodak Lens Cleaner re-branded. I used the Kodak Cleaner to clean my lens and filters when I first took up photography more than 30 years ago. It left residue then and it leaves residue now. As a rule, I used a no name air blower and a soft hairbrush to remove dust or grit from my lens and if necessary use lens cleaning solution. Since my Tiffen Lens Cleaner purchase, I have added a Lens Pen and a Rocket Blower to my toolkit. If the blower does not remove stubborn grit, I lightly wipe the filter or lens with the soft hairbrush that comes on one end of the Lens Pen. For smudges, I use the other end of the Len Pen where a concave shaped rubber cup covered with felt and soft graphite removes the smudges.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective lens cleaner The Tiffen lens cleaner effectively cleans lens and filters without leaving a residue.I have to remind myself to clean my lens often since dust and smudges seem to appear so often as I take pictures outdoors. The availability of a larger container is very economical.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does not leave residue I use this professionally to clean lenses and filters - it is also widely used in our area to clean lenses on laser equipment - both industrial and medical - and does not leave a residue when the correct technique is used. Add a drop or two to a Tiffen lens tissue and then wipe the lens - before it dries take another, dry tissue and wipe off quickly and continually until all traces are gone. The key is to do it quickly and keep going until no trace remains. (this process only takes maybe 5 seconds). Make a point of bunching up the tissue and use a fingernail to push the dry tissue into the angle at the rim. You have to adjust the amount you use depending on the tissue - 2 drops is plenty with the Tiffen tissue but you may need more if your tissues are more absorbent - you don't want it drying out while you are still doing the initial wet phase. A previous reviewer claims it leaves a residue but they are using a poor technique as is evidenced by the fact they claim it leaves residue at the edges but they are obviously not wiping correctly or it wouldn't be there!
