The Nebtek NEB258-PRO-XL is a 5.8" widescreen LCD designed for non-critical field monitoring. The high resolution TFT LCD is packaged in a small, lightweight and durable frame. Features include a professional input box, anti-glare panel and Horizontal/Vertical flip imaging feature. The flip function can be very useful for 35mm adapters, such as the Letus35 Mini and Cinevate Brevis. Can be mounted from either the top or bottom for additional flexibility. This model is fitted with a Canon Lithium Ion battery pack, which is compatible with Canon's line of MiniDV batteries.
High Quality 5.8" Display
The display is small and lightweight enough to take virtually anywhere! The 5.8" LCD panel is of sufficient quality to use not just for framing with confidence but for location or impromptu playback when larger monitors are impractical or not available. The 16:9/4:3 switchable function ensures native support for both standard and anamorphic sensors. Additionally, the panel is coated with a special anti-glare coating to reduce the effects of direct sunlight or high-powered lighting kits.
Image Flip Technology
Flips images both horizontally and vertically when displayed using the image flip function. This can be very useful when coupled with 35mm adapters, such as the Letus35 Mini and Brevis. These adapters are widely sought after for their shallow depth of field reproduction, but mostly don't incorporate image-correcting prisms. Images are recorded and displayed upside-down, which makes monitoring very difficult. With this feature, the LCD has the unique ability of returning the image to its upright position.
Canon Battery Mount
The unit comes fitted with a Canon battery mount, making it a perfect complement to their extensive line of camcorders, including the XL-Series. Easily integrate the LCD into your existing pool of equipment.
Multi-Region Support
The monitor can accept both NTSC and PAL standards for added versatility. The monitor will detect which standard is being used automatically without having to switch a button or change settings in the menu.
Additional Inputs
The NEB258-XL Pro has an additional BNC composite input and loop-through output, as well as the ability to run off of XLR 12VDC power.
