Sound Devices XL-WPH3 Overview

The XL-WPH3 from Sound Devices is a 45W DC power supply intended for use with Sound Devices Recorders and Mixers. This unit provides enough power to operate the recorder or mixer with all inputs active, while simultaneously charging an attached Li-ion battery.

This product gives me piece of mind when using my MixPre-6 MkII as an interface for all my important recordings.

First choice for MixPre-10T power!

In a bag: Support the recorder with a plug in device such as a battery sled or with a trimmed small foam pillow so that pressure is removed from the connector cable. The 110AC-12vDC adapter made by Jet has a pin-out diagram of the Hirose connector printed on the bottom - nice touch. Not tested under full load with 8 powered XLR mics input to the MixPre -10T for extended recording.

Yes, the Sound Devices XL-WPH3 45W DC Power Supply for Sound Devices Recorders and Mixers is compatible for use with the Sound Devices MixPre-6 II Field Recorder when used in combination with the Sound Devices MX-HIROSE Hirose DC Input Sled for MixPre, MixPre-M & MixPre-II Mixer-Recorders.

Hello, yes the XL-WPH3 is compatible with the 633, 688 as well as the 633 recorder. It works with any Sound Devices product that uses a four pin Hirose connector for power. Thank you
