Have used this varnish for years and it’s absolutely the best for UV and moisture protection of ink jet prints. I have prints mounted on customer walls for 15-20yrs and they show no sighs of UV damage or any fading,,

I create handmade books, primarily using Moab Entrada paper. The Desert Varnish is an essential final piece to ensuring that inks don't bleed across pages onto one another, and by protecting the paper from the oil and dirt on people's fingers as they touch the pages.

Will this spray give additional UV fade protection to a type C print, such as Fuji Crystal Archive?

Yes, the Moab Desert Varnish Lacquer Spray (B&H# MODVLS) spray is designed to reduce the amount of UV light reaching the photo upon which its applied. That will lend additional UV-induced fade protection to the print.

Hi! Does this work with Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Metallic prints? I've used a variety of varnishes, they all dull the paper after.

Moab Desert Varnish Lacquer Spray (B&H# MODVLS) is intended for use with matte papers only where -- when used properly -- it will not affect the appearance of the print. Using this product on non recommended and substantially nonporous surfaces (such as glossy or metallic paper) will result in the spray sitting on top of the print, leaving a very slightly matte surface. Nevertheless, the coating will still be protective. To maintain the shininess of your metallic print you may wish to consider putting the print behind glass instead.

It works on my canon glossy and their matte pro. Acrylic sprays are not as clear when they dry. This is a lacquer spray especially designed for prints. Follow the instructions.
