No! it has a milky look. For clear film consider getting the Inkpress Clear Film follow link: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/695513-REG/Inkpress_CF851120_Clear_Film_5_mil.html

What side of the transparency should be printed ...

What side of the transparency should be printed on? Both sides feel identically smooth but there is a small notch in the corner which I assume is for orientation
Asked by: Paris
when holding the paper in portrait mode the notch should be on the upper right hand corner & the side facing you is the side for printing. If you print on the other side the ink might just run so be careful.

question

I'm looking for the most transparent film in the pictorico range - as clear as possible - what would folks recommend?
Asked by: Anonymous
This film has a matte finish before printing (due to a combination of surface roughness or porosity). Applying moisture to the matte surface makes it go transparent, but it sounds like that can ruin your print-out. Ideally the printer would have a clear ink to infill the areas that we want to remain transparent. Maybe with the right dried pigments or inks a clear liquid (immersion oil or water?) could be applied and make the print truly transparent for better contact printing photolithographic results. I will experiment and leave a separate review...

question

Has anyone use this transparency film on Canon Pro 10, for Kallitype printing?if yes..what paper setting i should choose and need to install ICC profile?
Asked by: Sheau Horng
I should give it a go - I used mine in an Epson R3000 with no other profile other than the standard in-built Epson gloss setting and it seems to have worked perfectly first time. Whatever your canon has in it - or whatever your image program has as a default setting will probably work.

question

Do you print with glossy or matte ink for negatives?
Asked by: Anonymous
I use matte black on my Epson R3000. I use pictorico for digital negatives that are used to make contact prints.

question

The Epson P600 says it doesn't print on transparencies. Will this product work on a P600? Epson has a list of printers that are compatible with transparencies and none of the printers I now use to print on transparencies are on that list and they print fine.
Asked by: Darin K.
I've done it and it works perfectly! When printing on the P600 with this film, just select Premium Glossy Photo Paper as the paper option. I would recommend feeding sheets one at a time though, since the film sheets tend to stick together due to static what-not.
