The 14.7' Avenger Combo Alu Stand 45 with Leveling Leg is a black heavy duty light stand that features a leveling leg with an adjustable extension that lengthens it to provide secure support of equipment on uneven terrain and surfaces like stairs. I've bought one of these avenger combo stands years ago, and my grips absolutely love it. It is significantly lighter than any other stand in that size/height, and yet it's incredibly sturdy, can handle a heavy load, and can be extended to a very respectable height. Tightening knobs are perfectly designed and feel secure. You just can't beat the weight/size ratio of this stand. And when you pull stands off the truck day in and day out for weeks, a nice light, sturdy stand makes a HUGE difference. If I had to design my grip truck from scratch I would have ten of these on it. This specific stand was out of stock for what seemed to be three years or so...and it's finally back, so I promptly purchased another one of this size and one of the smaller sizes combos from Avenger. I can happily report the built quality is still the same, along with the lightweight design & the beautiful Black finish. If you use medium to large lights on a regular bases do yourself a favor and buy it.
Seriously, go with the black. It's looks cooler and doesn't reflect your light around. This is a rock solid giant stand and it works great in combination with the mini-boom. A love all the Avenger products and this is no exception.
