The Long John Silver stand uses a powerful crank-operated winch system to lift some of the largest lights for demanding cinematic and commercial productions. At its maximum height of 224", the stand can support fixtures up to 264 lb, withstanding the massive weight of high-output HMIs or heavy-duty LED panels, perfect for simulating natural sun or moonlight. The gas-assisted winch mechanism raises lights at a quick pace while a safety clutch provides peace of mind while derigging lights. Each of the stand's three legs can be individually leveled to ensure proper weight distribution on inclined surfaces, and a built-in bubble level confirms these settings.
