Da-Lite Model C Overview

From Manufacturer

The Dalite 60 x 96" Model C Manual Front Projection Screen is a perfect choice for either a large lecture or seminar hall, or conference/training room. The screen is designed for heavy use and features lubricated steel ball bearings for a smooth operating system. The screen is accessed via a pull cord.

The CSR mechanism was designed to provide a smooth and safe way for the screen to be retracted into its case. This kind of consistent operation ensures a longer life for the screen. Screens with CSR must be fully extended since there are no intermediate stopping positions.

As an option, you can purchase the screen in any one of seven veneer finishes to give it a more professional, finished appearance. If you prefer not to choose a veneer or laminate, the screen will come with a white casing. In addition, you can also purchase floating brackets which allow the screen to be either wall or ceiling mounted but which also give you the freedom to align the system left/right.

Note:
Veneers include: Honey Maple, Medium Oak, Heritage Walnut, Mahogany, Light Oak, Natural Walnut, and Cherry. Cases with Honey Maple, Light Oak and Medium Oak. Cases with Honey Maple, Light Oak and Medium Oak finishes come standard with white end caps. Cherry, Mahogany, Natural Walnut and Heritage Walnut cases come with black end caps.
Permanently lubricated steel ball bearings combined with nylon bushings and heavy-duty spring assembly offers smooth operation even in demanding applications
Optional floating mounting brackets allow the Model C to be mounted onto wall or ceiling studs and aligned left or right after installation by releasing two sets of screws

Will this work if mounted upside down? As in if I pull the screen up from the bottom will it then stay and then roll back up?

You could probably rig it to do so if you were to have a little clamp/hook/mechanism to keep it up top. It's design is intended to me top mounted as the weight of the bottom bar helps keep it taught/flat as a viewing surface. But if you're handy I would think you could find a way to hold the bottom pole (now the top pole) up high and taught. Just my thought, I'm not an engineer or sales rep. Just own one of these.
