This Iogear VGA Female to DVI-A Male Adapter allows you to connect a DVI-A device to a VGA device using an VGA cable. One end of the adapter is an DVI-A male connector and the other end is a VGA female connector. Simply plug the DVI-A male connector to a DVI-A supported device, and then connect a VGA cable which is plugged into the VGA device to the VGA connection on the adapter.

adapter works for what intended to do at great price. just remember this only works on DVI-A or DVI-I. will not fit on DVI-D. allows you to use all those extra old vga cables sitting around on a monitor that only has a vga jack.
wanted to connect my laptop to my monitor and use the two displays together. this fills the bill. Solid construction.
