Pelco B/W Digital Quad Video Processor

The Pelco Digital Quad Video Processor is a black-white video (EIA standard) processor that can display full-screen or quad (1024H x 512V) views in real-time. This improves versatility and gives additional viewing options. This video processor comes with four camera inputs and four looping outputs. The four looping outputs allow for the connection of additional video equipment.

The quad monitor output allows the display of a continuous quad image. The call monitor output can be used to display a full-screen view of any camera output. It can also be used to display a quad image on a second monitor. In addition, the call monitor output supports sequencing. In sequence mode the processor will display a camera in full screen before switching to the next camera at a timed interval. The front panel push buttons can be used for camera selection and sequence programming.

The Digital Quad Video Processor's built-in automatic time-base correction eliminates the need for any external synchronization of cameras. Further, if there is video loss on any camera input, the monitor display for that camera turns black.

There are five alarm inputs: one each for the four camera inputs and one for the quad input. In the event of an alarm, the camera with the alarm is switched to the call monitor's output for the duration of the alarm or until an operator acknowledges the alarm by pressing the appropriate front panel button. Multiple alarms can also be set, but at an interval of two seconds. The alarm output can be used to trigger a VCR or other external devices such as a lamp or buzzer.

An optional rack mount kit (RK100) is available, and can be used to mount one or two QD100 Series Quads in a standrad 19" rack chassis. The rack kit comes with a filler panel to cover an unused slot.
