Sea & Sea DX-2G UW Digital Camera Sports Package

The Sea & Sea DX-2G Sport Kit is actually a kit that includes a Sea & Sea housing that is rated to a depth of 180' (55 m), along with the Sea & Sea DX-2G camera. Since this camera has a shutter lag time of only 0.1 sec, it is well suited for underwater use. Of course, the camera is also ideal for snorkeling, surfing, skiing, fishing, sailing, or even certain industrial situations.

The camera features a large 2.7" TFT liquid crystal monitor. This makes framing underwater easy and fun. Since the camera has manual as well as program exposure modes you have complete control of balancing the available light to strobe light. The large buffer allows you to shoot 5 consecutive images with a 3 sec write time in raw mode. These features along with exceptional macro capability of a 1/2", makes the DX-2G functionality and performance close to an SLR without the bulk, hassle and weight.

The kit includes one Sea & Sea YS-27 flash that is designed for digital cameras. It synchronizes with the included fiber-optic cord for a flood-free connection. Lightweight and compact, this is the perfect strobe for the Sea & Sea DX-2G camera system. This full-featured strobe provides exposure regulation with a nine-step manual control dial. All you need to do is set your aperture to match the number on the control. If your images are a little too light or dark, just dial the power up or down. The fiber-optic cable transmits light from the camera's built-in flash to the strobe's built-in slave.

The Sea & Sea Sea Arm Light with built-in tray is also included. The Sea Arm is constructed of fiberglass with fortified nylon. This makes it rigid to keep the strobe in the right position, and is also very light and compact. The arm is made up of two sections, and has a rubber grip that provides a comfortable handhold. This full system is compact and is easy to travel with. It all fits into the included soft camera bag.
