    Panasonic DMC-ZS3 Reviews

Lumix DMC-ZS3 Digital Camera (Black) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 357.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2009 BEST Camera!!!! Great picture quality, crystal clear HD video. Amazing 12X OPTICAL zoom. Btw, i think, maybe, this is a new rev. camera cuz the mode dial do not seem loose anymore. Seems very strong to me. The quality of this Panasonic camera is SUPERB. You cant go wrong if you choose this ZS3. Im very happy with my camera. Just one tip. If you're like me, and take lot of HD video, you should consider buying at least a 16gb SDHC card CLASS 4, be aware that some of the new cards class6 do not work well with this camera, i dont know why, but thats true. i choose the Sandisk 16gb videoHD edition it is class 4 and works like a charm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Panasonic ZS3 pocket superzoom camera I compared some side by side shots taken with the ZS3 and TZ5, both at maximum zoom, and while I expected a big difference in small objects due to the combination of longer zoom and more pixels for the ZS3, the still photos didn't show significant differences, examining them at 100% magnification. Video OTOH was exceptional for the ZS3 - very clean and clear, and the stereo sound really works! You just have to hear the sound to believe it's a pocket camera.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the flexibility of this camera! I bought this camera as a suplement to my Canon Powershot SD1000, little did I know that I wouldn't be using the Canon at all. I brought my Canon Vixia with me thinking I would use it for taking HD movies. In the end, I used the Panasonic for almost everything. The flexibility of the wide angle and zoom was extremely welcome and I could finally take the pictures that I have always wanted to. The only drawback is that, I've yet to figure out how to take pictures with this particular camera in dim lighting. This should be remedied with reading the manual, but I'm glad I managed to figure out many of the functions with just using it without having to read the manual.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Pocket Rocket Found this camera to be even better than reviews Ive read. Shot some photos from top the Gateway Arch in St.Louis and they came out fantastic, even shooting threw the arches filthy windows. I'm a DSLR camera guy, but didn't want to take all that heavy equipment up that tram to the top of the arch. What a surprise bunch of photos I took with this Digicam. The 25mm wide angle lens was fantastic, you can even see the the route signs below at 650'. I'm headed for Chicago next weekend to shoot some photos and this little jewel will be going with me. I have several Digicams including the (Cult) Fujifilm FD31, but this camera is better, especially with the great Leica 25mm to 300mm lens in a camera that fits in your pocket. The manual is very good also using terms that the novice can understand. Try and get on the waiting list for this great little camera, you will be impressed. Good Shooting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best relationship costbenefit! This is a user-friendly camera, simple and at the same time complete. There are several modes to take pictures that make it an incredible cost-benefit purchasing! Nothing to add about its optical zoom, it's perfect, 12x going from WIDE to an excellent lens TELE! Great to make macros! Wonderful HD video, sometimes I feel like I have an excellent camcorder! I have only positive comments for this camera; I recommended it to all my friends. It only takes a few seconds for someone to see the camera, take some pictures and make some videos to be dazzled and crazy for having one like mine!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Picture Quality! I recently purchased the Lumix DMC-ZS3 for a vacation touring Glacier, Yellowstone and the Grand Teton National Parks. My top three reasons for initally choosing this camera were because of 1) the picture quality, 2) the zoom lens, and 3) the fact that it was pocketable. After taking 500 pictures in 2 weeks, I can say that the camera definitely has lived up to the product description! The color saturation is beautiful and very true-to-life. The zoom lens is very good for such a small camera. And I loved not having to lug my SLR on those long hikes. The only drawback was that the battery life isn't real long, and I was unable to pick up a back-up battery during the trip. ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Camera I have ever owned I think this is the best camera in its price range. I owned Kodak, Canon, Pentax but this one is far superior. HD video's super. With the Built in V cast I can insert the SD card to my blue ray player and watch the recording on my big screen instantly. Pictures are not perfect but way better than my $200 Pentax M20. Low light pictures has some noise but not to bad. Zoom option is awesome. AI mode is very cool. Hi speed burst mode is great. Wind noise reduction not perfect but better than not to have one. Face recognition truly works. wide angle shots and rechargeable battery is a plus. This is the best $ I have ever spent. Definitely recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Compact Camera with HD Video I bought this camera mainly for short video clips when traveling. I use my Canon 50D for photos. The iA mode is great. It does everything for you for point and shoot. Low light a lot of noise same to video. Overall I am happy with the videos I shot since I do have software to conver the AVCHD format and not a problem for me. The software came with the camera for editing is so limited. If you shoot video a lot make sure you get the Sandisk Extreme III (Class 6) SDHC 16 gb will give you 2 hours video shooting.
