The very soft DHAP fabric of the Orange Series swabs has traditionally been used for cleaning delicate surfaces such as telescopes and other scientific optics, and is ideal for critical cleaning. Due to its ultra softness, less pressure is applied to the sensor through the swabs while cleaning, thereby reducing the risk of squeezing or scraping debris on the sensor. Additionally, the thin structure provides better edge-to-edge cleaning maneuverability. The Orange Series swabs work best with VDust Formula and well with Smear Away solutions, but are not compatible with Sensor Clean Solution. Furthermore, the unique woven pattern of the DHAP fabric minimizes shedding of the swab while at the same time increasing absorbency. The patented contoured mini-channel on the paddle provides an even saturation of the paddle surface while preventing pooling and vertical flow at the edge. This reduces streaks associated with traditional flat-surface paddles. The mini-channel also provides an extra reservoir to hold any excessive liquid, thereby prolonging the moisture life of the swab during the cleaning process.
The VisibleDust DSLR Corner Swabs - Orange Series are tailored specifically to remove dust build up in those hard to reach areas. Compatible with Visible Dust's full arsenal of wet cleaning solutions, these swabs are specifically for cleaning only the corners. The very soft DHAP fabric is the same as used on the DSLR swabs.
