Photo cloth

It's OK. Not as non-reflective as I would have liked. Not exactly lint free either (particularly if you have a cat!). Needs to be ironed to get the wrinkles out.

Great piece of cloth.

I like the wrinkle resistant quality if this backdrop cloth. 10' x 10' is plenty big enough to use.

question

Has anyone ever used the with infrared multispectral shooting? i need to make sure these dont reflect white in the NIR range so i can use them as a backdrop. thanks

Hi -- It's me again. I've done the experiment. The Savage black muslin backdrop appears white in near infrared light, specifically 800-900nm. In other words, it reflects this light strongly rather than absorbing it. (It of course absorbs visible light which is why it looks black to us.) Anyway, my Savage black backdrop will not work for NIR photography if you expect an absorbing black background. I cannot say what it would look like at much longer wavelength, say beyond 2000nm.
