The Sony MDR-IF3000 wireless infrared headphones are available as an additional, or replacement set of headphones for that company's MDR-DS3000 wireless surround headphone system. These full-range headphones, featuring a 23' reception range and providing a full 90° angle of movement, are surprisingly lightweight and battery operated. The rechargeable NiMH batteries offer a 35 hr. operating life.
The MDR-IF3000 headphones are equipped with a dedicated rotary volume control knob and a mute function when no signal is present.The earpieces offer large 30mm drivers, ferrite magnets and thin PET diaphragms for optimized frequency reproduction and dynamic range. The adjustable earcups and headband are nicely padded for comfortable extended use.
