    Bower SFD926 reviews

SFD926C Power Zoom Flash for Canon Cameras is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 91.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great flash for a great cost After a lot of back and forth with research, I had a really hard time choosing a speedlight. I am on a budget, so until I can afford oneat which time I will probably go with the new 600EX-RTI finally chose this flash. That said, I have taken at least 2000 shots with this flash and it is definitely a little gem. It works absolutely fantastic. It is worth every penny. The only real complaint I have is the lock mechanism, it isn't broken or anything but it isn't as secure as it could be. However, this does not stop it from being secure enough meaning, although I wish it were more of a snug fit, I have no problem shooting with it. Excellent results, if you're on a tight budget but need a flash, this is winner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive power and options Really great product for the cash. The built in features like a diffuser and white reflector, eTTL and manual options really make this a great product. I have had problems getting the camera to fire it during the daylight once, but batteries were low. Highly recommended - esp considering a guide number of 125 - which is only about 15 short of the Canon 430 EX II!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good buy *Purchased to help assist another photographer in a wedding shoot *Usually a natural light fan, so still learning about the flash *Thus far, I can tell it is great for a beginner. Seems rather durable for the price. Would recommend for a beginner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Why did I wait soo long? I am a 'name-brand' purchaser but started doubting it when looking for flashes to fit my Canon 50D. I spoke in length with a technical advisor at B&H and I am glad I did. This flash does everything I desired and more. No longer do I have to dampen the light with a hand or cover. No longer do I have to guess the lighting or distance. I got the right item at the right price. Not all can say that!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied I tried it with Canon Rebel XS and Canon T3i. Works fine, communicates with both cameras OK, improves pictures as I wanted. T3i has menu item about external flash, however it is not enabled with this flash. Looks like flash understands signals from T3i but T3i is not receiving signals from flash. But result is good enough for me, better than with camera flash. Also, it fires in slave mode OK (disconnected from camera). Some people think flash flattens faces etc. but I prefer to see younger faces without wrinkles and shadows from big noses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great flash for the price This flash is a solid product and is a great value. The TTL mode works pretty well and everything else functions like it should. The head swivels and rotates smoothly and the slave mode works great. I didn't give it 5 stars however because it only has power settings down to 1/16 and it would be nice if it went lower. Additionally, the flash is quite noisy at times and sounds like a jet taking off while the capacitor is recharging. Not too bad though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good flash for the money I use this for bounce fill flash, off camera slave use and for creative effects. I was worried this would only work as a simple ttl flash. I enjoy taking smoke and water pictures which stretch a flash's ability to recharge and sync properly with the camera - haven't had any problems with this flash. I'm sure the canon flashes are more powerful and work at longer distances when using as a slave, but can't beat this for the money. It does seem a little bit plasticy and cheaply made, but it has worked fine for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from worked fine on my 7D but not on my 5DIII Seemed to work fine on my 7d at a third the cost of a speed lite . Problem .. When I upgraded to a 5D mark III the TTL is in compatable, all the pictures are so over exsposed the practly pure white. Bower went ahead and sent me 2 new ones but they do the same thing, I have tried other third party flashes that worked fine . Another note If using this flash as a remote they often shut off and need to be restarted, and the batteries drain quickily. I never had the problem when it is mounted on the camera
