The Leatherman Freestyle is a minimalist knife/pliers combination, with the knife being accessible when the tool function is closed (just like a normal pocket knife). The blade's the star here, and you can open it with one hand. It has normal and serrated sections and is composed of 420HC steel, a 0.4-0.5% carbon steel with ~13% chromium that resists corrosion, holds an edge, and generally makes for a good all-purpose knife steel when properly treated.
