The Giottos MG-8240B MG Classic Carbon Fiber & Magnesium Tripod is a sturdy, lightweight, yet affordable tripod. The leg locks follow a special design that makes the legs less prone to damage from particulate matter like sand and dirt. The leg sections feature an anti-twist design, and lock into three angled positions. It comes equipped with a 1/4"-20 screw to accommodate a variety of heads.
The leg materials are made of French-made high-strength carbon fiber tubing commonly used in aerospace engineering. It yields exceptional stability for its supremely light weight. Carbon fiber materials absorb shock and vibration that would otherwise mar an exposure.
