HDMI x6 1080p/24Hz Deep Color Inputs with 1080i HD Upconversion
If you're looking to pump high-definition DVD playback into your HD displays, you're in luck. The TX-SR607 offers (6) (1 front/5 rear-panel) HDMI repeater inputs (ver. 1.3a), which are Blu-ray compliant. Each HDMI input is capable of processing 1080p x.v.Color and Deep Color (30/36-bit) video signals with DTS-HD Master Audio signals. HDMI supports standard, enhanced, or high-definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio on a single cable.

In addition, it incorporates Faroudija DCDi Edge Technology that's capable of upconverting interlaced video signals to 1080i HD video signals through the HDMI (ver. 1.3a) output.

High Current Power Supply (H.C.P.S.)
It features a Massive High Power Transformer for audio and video processing, which shields out unwanted magnetic fields. Built with over-sized capacitors capable of delivering breathtaking headroom, with an outstanding audio signal-to-noise.

CinemaFILTER Technology
Onkyo's proprietary CinemaFILTER restores the correct tonal balance to movie soundtracks that can otherwise be edgy and bright when played back over home audio equipment - this is because film soundtracks are designed to be played back in large theaters, using commercial equipment.
Theater-Dimensional Circuitry
With this mode you can enjoy a virtual 5.1 surround sound even with only 2 or 3 speakers. This is achieved by controlling how sounds reach your left and right ears. The listening angle can be set at either 20° or 40°.
Music Optimizer Technology
Onkyo's optimizer technology is designed to improve the quality of compressed audio signals such as MP3 and AAC files. Compressed music loses a substantial amount of bit information at higher frequencies, so the Music Optimizer technology works to overcome this limitation and improve audio quality. This function only works with PCM digital audio input signals with a sampling rate below 48KHz and analog audio input signals.
Multi-Room Capabilities
With Powered Zone 2 and Zone 2 line outputs, this unit is capable of reproducing surround sound entertainment in your main room while you play back a completely different stereo source in another zone.
