Impact ESS reviews

ESS Lamp (250W, 120V) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Modeling lamp for Speedotron I use these bulbs in Speedotron 102 heads. Seems like you always have a modeling lamp going bad, so these replacements are a good value for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Modeling Light for Elinchrom Really, what do you need to know it is a light blub? You plug it in and it works. I use these in elinchrom rx 600 and rx 1200.. ( the rx600 is only rated for a 125 or 150w blub) but it is so much easier to keep one type of blub in my cases and the studio, so I just use these for everything. They are cheap and easy bulbs, they are modeling lambs so I really don't care about the color temp, there output, or anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Who doesn't like a new bulb? I work full time as a lighting camera operator and gaffer in the Midwest. I love using smaller fresnel lights to add an edge/hairlight to talent and set pieces, and brighten detail in dark areas on location, as well as an eye light for actors faces. This lamp works perfect for my Mole Richardson Mini Moles, and would not be a happy camper if I ran out of extra bulbs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but the internal built quality could be improved This modeling light bulb is relatively long-lasting however its internal built quality is not the best. I work in a fast-paced studio and sometimes the lights are handled in a not the most delicate way. It has happened several times that just a couple of weeks old light bulb's contact wires and filaments broke.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lights, Camera, Action... I use the ESS Lamp bulbs in a Norman 1200 watt strobe head for modeling light purposes. Gear that works properly is always great in my opinion... and they work great. Just be careful to not touch them when installing, if you do you'll need to clean it until it's like new.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Priced Right Nice to have a value priced item that does what the more expensive ones do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reasonably Priced Lamps I used to pay so much more for these lamps. It's Impact for me now!
