Hitachi HV-D5W Overview

The HV-D5W is one of the most advanced single-piece, SD CCTV box cameras offered by Hitachi. In addition to its sophisticated CCD configuration, the HV-D5W is endowed with a multitude of electronics controls, in particular an advanced shutter system, to compensate for just about any lighting or scene situation. Because of this, this camera can be a powerful tool in a wide range of imaging applications; from medical and science to sports events to factory automation to critical security surveillance, to name a few.

Advanced Shutter Controls
With a range of manual and automated shutter controls to choose from, you can dial-in the exact setting you need according to the amount of motion and illumination levels exhibited in a scene. This way, you can achieve a very stable and properly exposed image in virtually any lighting or scene situation.
6-Vector Variable Masking & Linear Matrix Masking
Each of the primary colors of the image can be individually adjusted for hue and saturation characteristics. This way, you can achieve very accurate color reproduction as close as possible to what your eye is seeing. This feature can be of inestimable value for factory automation, medical and many other industrial imaging applications.
Automatic Flesh Tone Detail
A special setting can be used to produce very natural looking skin tones without adversely affecting the other aspects of the image.
Optional SDI Output (DI-D5)
With the addition of the optional DI-D5 module, this camera will be able to output digital component signals via an SDI port. Additionally, the DI-D5 module supports EDH (error detection and handling) as a means of detecting any transmission errors at the receiving equipment.
