Impact Mini to Household Adapter Reviews
Great!
Great product, I would buy it again!
Fantastic Little Adapter
just does what's promised. I read on other reviews that polarity was one way only, so I was able to rectify this easily, but some instructions on the packaging would go a long way to ease some early frustration. Other than that minor suggestion, worth 5 stars
Simply works!
This was a simple solution to firing my studio strobes remotely! Thank You B&H!!!
Protects my DSLR from a high-voltage power pack
I have a 20-year old studio lighting system with a large power pack that until now was only used with film cameras. I was concerned about damage to my DSLR if I connected it directly to the PC sync plug. Since I already had a wireless flash trigger, with a 3.5mm male mini plug I just needed a way to plug it to the household connection on the power pack. I've used this in the studio a number of times already, and it works perfectly.
Works like intended
Built to last and get the job done. You might need this if you are using wireless triggers and your studio flash system uses the old AC style sync cord outlet. Mine worked fine although I had to make sure the polarity was right.
Works
I use it as part of the connection between an old model Speedotron outfit and PocketWizard Plus X. I needed the household plug so I could reverse the polarity.
Doesn't work
This is a pricey item for what it is. But when I got it was packaged very well. But after I plugged it in and fired the unit, no flash. Tried a different cord, no flash. I don't own a power meter so I can't check if it's faulty internally. The company that makes this unit says they are raising their price on this item. Not B&H. I don't blame B&H for this one. They didn't make the unit.
Just what I needed
Needed this to use in my old Novatron power pack, to connect my Vello FreeWave receiver. Sale person at B&H pointed me right to this, and works great.
