It allows photographs to be taken at 90° right angles to the camera. This means you can keep the camera pointed straight ahead while actually photographing subjects to your right or to your left. The attachment rotates 360°. Designed to be used on lenses with 52mm filter threads, the Right-Angle Mirror Lens Attachment can be used with bigger sizes, using step-up rings.

Note:
This attachment is recommended for normal and longer focal length lenses only so cannot be used with wide-angle lenses.

Abysmal quality for a steep price

The mirror is barely glued on its support, it had visible glues on the sides and the overall quality of the object is ridiculous. I bought the more expensive one on B&H hoping for a decent quality and I was incredibly disappointed.

This is a great thing to use when you want to take candid pictures of someone or when you want to take a picture of someone who is camera shy. I have a sister-in-law who every time you aim a camera at her, she either puts her hand up to her face or runs from the camera. With this device I can aim the camera at someone else and the sister-in-law dowws not know i am actually taking a pictue of her. It works great. Also, you can use the camera on a really wide zoom lens, such as 18mm, and take a picture in two directions with it. You get the person you were taking the picture of and the person who would be to the left or right of the camera at the same time.

Can I use this on a 58mm lens thread? With a step ...

Can I use this on a 58mm lens thread? With a step up ring? Also, is the glass good optical quality?

Since you’re starting with a lens with a 58 mm thread and adapting it to the VL152 that has a 52mm thread, you would need a 58-52 mm step DOWN ring, right?

I'm trying to attach this to a canon macro MP-E 65 mm lens. Do you know which adapter I should get?

You would need a step down ring such as this: https://bhpho.to/2PCnU4x But when using a step down ring, you risk vignetting the image. Plus the quality of the Bower VL152 52mm Right Angle Mirror Lens Attachment is not nearly as good as the quality of your Canon lens. If at all possible, I would recommend not using a right angle attachment due to the low quality.
