The NEC NP600S is a powerful and versatile multimedia projector that works well in the media room, conference room or classroom.

"Short throw" refers to the ability to project a relatively large image a relatively short distance from the screen. With the NP600S you can project an image about five feet across diagonally from only about three feet away. Ceiling mount a short throw projector like this and you keep the projector light out of the presenter's eyes and you ensure that the presenter's shadow doesn't block the image.

This projector has so many great features it's hard to know where to start. Let's start with ease of use. It's plug and play with intuitive set up and operation. The lamp cover is on the top so changing lamps is a cinch. Keystone correction is automatic. You can plug the projector into your LAN via its RJ45 jack and then monitor, control and perform remote diagnostics via the projector's own HTTP page.

If the built in seven-watt speaker isn't loud enough for your venue you can plug in (optional) powered speakers and control their volume from the remote control. In fact the remote control enables you to also control the image, aspect ratio and lamp mode.

NEC's Autosense technology syncs the projector with most computer signals automatically and enables you to optimize the image with the touch of a button. If the input signal is not in the projector's native resolution Advanced AccuBlend ensures you'll still see smooth, detailed images.

And those images can be in a wide range of video and computer formats. The NP600S can handle video in the NTSC, NTSC4.43, PAL, PAL-60, PAL-M, PAL-N, SECAM standards and VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA, SXGA+ and UXGA computer signals. It's also compatible with the Macintosh. And then there's its international 100 – 240 V AC power supply. The NP600S is ideal for ceiling mount installation but that ceiling can be almost anywhere in the world.

2600 Lumens and a 600:1 Contrast Ratio
That's projection power to spare for medium sized living rooms, conference rooms and lecture halls even when ambient light can't be totally controlled.
Quick Start Up And Shutdown Save you Time and Money
Quick start up lets you begin presenting in seconds. Auto Power On via the RGB (15-pin) input connector starts the projector when a signal is detected from a computer. Power management enables the projector to automatically turn off when an incoming signal is not detected from any of the inputs.
Plug and Play Intuitive Set Up and Operation
Versatile, color-coded connections to computer, video sources and external monitor make set up a snap. You can make one-touch source changes and have complete menu control using the intuitive projector keypad. Autosense intuitively syncs the projector with most computer signals and features one-touch image optimization. Advanced AccuBlend ensures detailed images when non-native resolution sources are connected to the projector. Top cover lamp provides for easy lamp changes without removal of the projector from its mount.
Integrated RJ45 Jack
This connection to your LAN allows remote management and control. The NP600S even has its own built-in HTTP page so you can manage it from a web browser. You can also have the projector email you when certain conditions exist, like when the lamp is nearing the end of its life.
Automatic Keystone Correction
This technology instantly projects a square image even when the projector is set up at a steep offset angle to the screen.
Versatile Remote With Variable Audio Out (VAO)
VAO enables the remote control to be used to adjust volume of (optional) self-powered external speakers that are connected to the projector. The remote also allows you to adjust lamp mode, aspect ratio, volume and image all with the touch of a button.
Built-In Wall Color Correction
You don't always have a screen to project onto. Wall color correction presets provide for adaptive color tone correction to display properly on non-white surfaces.
Worldwide Communicator
The NP600S has a world-ready 100 – 240 V AC, 50/60Hz power supply and it complies with the NTSC, NTSC4.43, PAL, PAL-60, PAL-M, PAL-N, SECAM video systems. In addition it can project 720p and 1080i high definition signals. Its Onscreen display (OSD) offers a choice of 21 languages. And to make sure your entire audience can understand your presentation this projector offers Closed Captioning from programming that provides it. That comes in handy not only for the hearing impaired but for those who are learning English as a second language.
Easy to Secure Your Projector
Password protection restricts unauthorized use of projector. Cabinet control lock setting enables you to deactivate buttons on the cabinet to prevent unwanted changes to projector settings. Physical security is available from a security slot and security chain opening.
