These PR 48 Dynamic kick drum microphones are nice because it has a flat front which I believe give a true sound and cover more area of the drum head than other kick drum microphones.

Best kick drum mic!

I have used many kick drum mics over the years, not everything out there but quite a few. The Heil PR48 is in my opinion the best. It has a great natural, full, punchy sound, and it sounds great in many positions. My only tiny complaint is, I wish they had put a few more degrees of angle between stand mount and cable connection. B&H has the best price too!
