A basic beginner's model with nice slow-motion altazimuth controls, the Meade NG60-SM Telescope is a longer focal length achromatic refractor that's good for using to observe the Moon and the planets. It also can be used as a land-based spotting scope. A pair of eyepieces is included, along with a 1x Red Dot finderscope. Also included is a software DVD which gives you some maps and pointers for using a scope by sight to find the basics of the sky.
