The ARM Electronics C460VPIRPRO uses powerful IR illumination to view up to 90' in the dark. To further enhance image brightness during nighttime hours the camera comes equipped with an ICR (Infrared Cut filter Removal) system. When light levels fall, the filter is automatically removed from the lens, allowing near infrared light wavelengths to reach the CCD. Fittingly, the lens included with this camera is of the aspherical, IR type - an optics design particularly adept at handling light in the IR spectrum. This level of night vision serves to complement the camera's quality video images generated by a Sony 1/3" Super HAD CCD.
For total security, the dome features a vandal resistant construction with a tough aluminum housing and shatter-resistant polycarbonate bubble. The rugged exterior also serves to protect the camera from strong jets of water, allowing camera operation in rain or shine.
A unique feature of this camera is the ability to install it right out of the box on any flat wall or ceiling surface as well as recessed (flush) inside a hard or drop ceiling without the need for additional hardware. An optional mount (VPPROWMT) is available for those needing to install the camera on a wall, facing down.
