The BMC-2 from tc electronic is a self-contained digital-to-analog audio convert and monitor controller ideal for digital or analog audio production and monitoring. In addition to controlling listening levels, the BMC-2 lets you switch between S/PDIF, AES3, TOS, and ADAT digital input sources, and confirms whether or not the inputs are synchronous.
The unit provides calibrated listening for a set of analog speakers, a set of digital speakers, and a pair of headphones. The BMC-2 also provides user-definable reference levels with a single button. The BMC-2 precisely re-clocks all inputs and has high-performance jitter rejection based on patented JET technology. The analog output has peak level metering and "iCheck" integrity check to reveal if a signal is spatially compromised.
The BMC-2 is completely self-contained. It can interface directly with Macs and PCs, but does not require a computer for setup. It operates on 12VDC power and fits comfortably on any desktop.
