Auralex Project 2 Roominators reviews

Project 2 Roominators Kit - (Charcoal/Charcoal) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommended. Auralex is great for taking the room out of your audio recordings. Our production studios are small rooms with drop ceilings and walls made from 2x4 studs and drywall. Before installing Roominator kits, sound bounced around like a little kid on jelly beans. The resulting audio quality was boomy and the room tone was noticeable. After a few hours of cutting and hanging the Auralex material, the sound quality is noticeably better. People familiar with the studios say, it's very still in here, and that awful acoustic slap is gone! While it's not intended as sound proofing, it helps cut down on ambient sound that used to drift over the drop ceilings and bounce around the room. The studio also look more professional and seem more cozy. Here's an expert tip -- use an electric carving knife to cut the studiofoam panels. It cuts precise edges and creates a very professional look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, Cost-Effective Product After receiving recommendations from Auralex for acoustic treatments for my project studio, I ordered this kit and had it installed by a professional studio designer. After installation, my mixing room sounds 1000% better and it wasn't bad before. Bass frequencies are now a lot tighter, focused and well-defined. Additionally, mid and high frequencies are smoother. Only complaint is that there were not enough adhesive pads included but not a big deal. Some users may complain that the foam does not look as professional as fabric covered treatments; however, we have had nothing but compliments concerning the look of our studio since the installation. In fact, a client booked a session just to take photos for Insta-gram and Facebook. Otherwise, an effective product that any serious residential-based project studio should have.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective. They made the room sound a lot better, no doubt. However, it comes with 2-sided tape that is not very strong, especially for ceiling applications. I had to buy several tubes of silicone to use as a glue, and now they remain attached.
