More solid than I thought

Was concerned about its durability after looking at the photos, but it is a lot more sturdy and solid than I originally thought. I was waiting for some custom dual flash brackets, but they took too long so I just got this and am very glad! I use this with a 46 Softlighter II and after a few work arounds, it works great.

oh well.

Crude manufacturing. Wish it came without umbrella bracket (much preffer my manfrottos). It has to be assembled very tight or the bottom portion of the stem will unscrew.

Is this sturdy enough for a 7'-0 umbrella?

Yes, you may use a 7-foot umbrella with the Photoflex Dual Shoe Flash Adapter Kit. It is a heavy duty mount. I would recommend to ensure the light stand you use has a maximum load capacity that may handle the combined weight of the umbrella and flashes used on the bracket; the light stand's load capacity would be the determining factor for your needs.
