I used it on top of my desk and it works great. No modifications required. 2 monitors on my desk and 55 LCD on the wall behind. My dream setup is now realized. Thank you B&H for supporting artists and their needs.
Easy to assemble, works very well, no brainier. The only minor quibble is adjusting the tilt angle requires removing the monitor, adjusting the tilt angle screws, rinse, repeat. It took me 3 iterations to get it mine precisely where I wanted it. But even that only took 5 minutes. You just can't torque the adjustment nut with the monitor in place since it's difficult to get your hand between the monitor and the mounting surface. I would still highly recommend it as long as you don't need to adjust the tilt angle on a regular basis. If you're installation is set it and forget it, go for it.
