Can the Sony CCU power a sony camera with this cable over this distance? Is there any power booster needed or will the needed DC voltage go that far?

This from Sony Technical Support If you are using the HXC-FB80 and the HXCU-FB80 then Yes, the maximum distance under good conditions is 600m using the SONY CCFN cable, you can do the same with SMPTE cabling.
