The Silvestri D7023M Drop-In Plate is for medium format digital backs made to fit Mamiya 645 AFD cameras when used with the Silvestri #D7023 5 x 7 Sliding Back Adapter.
The Drop-In Plate completes the system, allowing the 5 x 7 Sliding Back Adapter to accept your digital back made to fit Mamiya's 645 AFD body, and via the sliding of the ground glass and digital back during capture it allows you to create panoramic images of nearly any aspect ratio you'd like.
Made to Silvestri's exacting standards, this plate's precisely calibrated to perfectly align the image plane of your back with the D7023's ground glass. It can itself be mounted within the 5 x 7 Sliding Back Adapter so that the image plane is either vertical or horizontal, easily facilitating vertically-oriented 'taller' panoramic images.
