The Impact Quikbox (15 x 15") is a great way to expand the capabilities of your on-camera, shoe-mount flash. The Quikbox lives up to its name by popping open and assembling in a couple of minutes. Just pop open the softbox, add the diffusers and included adapter ring and shoe adapter, mount on a lightstand and you're ready to shoot.

Using a softbox with your shoe-mounted flash will help to diffuse and to evenly distribute the light output of the flash. This will help to reduce those harsh shadows which are often the result of flash photography. Also included is an internal diffuser, to minimize the possibility of hotspots. In addition, the recessed front face helps to control light spill.

The included flash bracket is adjustable vertically, and features a universal shoe which is adjustable horizontally. These adjustments make this unit compatible with virtually all standard flash units (incl. Nikon SB-900 & SB-910), as well as radio receivers. In addition, for those receivers that do not feature a bottom shoe connector, the bracket shoe is removable to expose a male 1/4"-20 screw. There are also three plastic washers included in the shoe assembly, to accommodate receivers of various sizes.

Quikbox Softbox with Shoe Mount Flash Bracket (15 x 15") is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quick Softbox with Grid for Portraits I use this softbox as the main light in portable portrait sittings. Easier to set up since there are no rods. I have used larger, similar quick set up softboxes with their strange connection to the flash and they work just fine. This item needs an additional swivel adapter to go between light stand and the flash holder or else you can not shoot any way except totally horizontal. Get one like the Manfrotto 026. The grid is an added accessory not found on other brands. It helps to control the light on the subject and also keeps light from spilling into the camera lens. Get it if you're serious about your portrait lighting. Best used with one person only, not for group shots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Product I recently purchased this 15 inch softbox as a small mobile light for events and when I travel. I have a lot of different sizes from the smallest Lastolite (8x9 I believe) to 42 inches. I had a gap between the 8x9 and the 24 inch. The 24 inch is just a bit big for working crowded events and the 8x9 is really only useful if it is right up in somebody's face just out of the frame. This size seems to be a good compromise. I have typically gone with the name brands but decided to take a chance on the B&H house brand Impact and would say it measures up in quality in every way to similar more expensive products. Well done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Size for Environmental Portraits I shoot seniors and couples without an assistant. I'm using a Nikon SB-910 and Pocketwizards on a lightstand as well as carrying my Nikon D3s. I was using a larger quickbox (24x24) and was making it just fine, but wondered if I sized down to the 15x15 if I would notice any quality difference. Well, I didn't notice any substantial difference as far as the quality of light, but I sure notice a difference moving around with this smaller softbox attached. The only negative I can say is the lollypop mount that the softbox attaches to could be an inch or two longer. Once you have the Pocketwizard and the flash attached, you sit a little high. I had to remove one of the o-rings on the mounting hardware and that helps to get the flash lower. All in all, a great buy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Value I bought this because the reviews were good and it cost considerably less than the EZbox. My only beef with it is that the inner diffuser is ridiculously difficult to put in. The good news is that you can collapse the box with the diffusers in place. But if you often take the diffuser panels in and out, I would spring for the more expensive model that uses velcro instead of tiny metal clips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for location photography! This Quikbox Softbox is easy to setup and easy to use. It fits nearly all flash units as well as radio recievers. The only thing I dont like about it, is that you cant tilt the softbox up or down...it is always in a straight on position. So unless you have an adjustable boom arm, you cant tilt the softbox down onto your subject.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 15X15 Impact Quikbox Great softbox when used with a speedlight and pocket wizard. Lightweight, easy to assemble, folds away easily too. Assembles quickly and to date has worked just fine. At first the bracket seems a little flimsy, but for now it's holding up so will see how long it lasts! Survived one blow over on an exterior shoot. So far, so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Softbox Convenient softbox for portraits. I haven't used this one yet, but I have a Quikbox 24 x 24 which works great. I needed a second one, and decided a 15 x 15 might be good for lighting a smaller area. I will use it with my Canon flashes and a PocketWizard wireless radio control. It is quick to unfold and attach to a light stand with an external flash.
