Studio Essentials COR761 Background Support Reviews

Solid Bargain Background System

I bought this so I could have a portable backdrop system for shoots when using a lightweight muslin 8' wide backdrop I use. It works great for that. The stands seem quite sturdy, which is nice, and they have an interesting spring system in them which I have never encountered before (maybe to help support heavier backdrops?). I like the telescopic adjustment of the crossbar. I would be hesitant to use maximum wide backdrops on it, especially heavier ones as it does look like it sags when fully extended - but maybe it would be fine, but I have another system for those. Nice carrying case. All around solid purchase.

Ideal for a portable Studio Drop

Sets up in minutes of your arrival at the shooting site. The telescoping cross bar and vertical supports provide infinite adjustment within their range, allowing great versatility to fit the environment. The entire unit is great build quality and stable with no issues supporting a variety of drops. Highly recommend.

Quite nice. Above average quality for this price range. Need something portable, compact, inexpensive, highly adjustable, This is it. Very pleased with my purchase. ..And B&H does a great job of packing to withstand FedX shipping abuse.

Pretty nice for the price.

I tried the DIY PVC backdrop stand for a while but decided that I needed something more portable and easier to break down/ store. This seems sturdy enough. Hold an 86" x 12' roll of Savage paper with no problems. The storage back that it comes with leaves a little to be desired. Not well designed and its not durable. Mine actually came torn at one end. Luckily, I know someone that is good with a sewing machine. It's overall a good set up for how inexpensive it is.

Nice support, but. . .

not quite as strong a support as I've had before. The height is nice, the support bag is OK, but the cross beam is kind of flimsy. Heavy muslin could turn it over if legs are not properly place and sand bags used.

Surprisingly Well Constructed

Considering how inexpensive this unit was, it is very well constructed, sturdy and very easy to put together. The carry case was a plus.

Torn Bottom Seam in Fabric Carrying Case

Just like other reviewers experienced, my fabric case was also torn open on the bottom. The stitching didn't hold. I won't be able to use these outside of my studio. I have not had a chance to use the stands and support. They seem very sturdy. The stands are very heavy--great for studio work.

Functional, seems good value, but arrived broken

This system seems great, the quality is not the most amazing, bu better than expected with some of the reviews. Unfortunately it arrived with a damaged case. The case is extremely poor quality. The sewing was all ripped open on one end causing the poles to fall out. BH couldn't send me a new carry bag and really not worth the hassle to send all the way back to get a new one. I would consider a different item if the case matters at all to you.
