The 56 x 90" Spectrum Motorized Projection Screen from Elite Screens is another great choice from Elite for home or commercial use. The Spectrum comes fully assembled and is ready for immediate installation giving it a distinct advantage over other comparably priced screens in its category which need complicated construction.

The motor is quiet with a very quiet up/down function that can be controlled by the included IR remote. The 12V trigger (also included) gives you full synchronization between screen and projector - a unique feature among motorized screens.

The screen finish is Elite's exclusive MaxWhite that provides a bright, crisp and clear image. The screen generates a 160° viewing angle making it viewable from just about anywhere in the room. In addition, the surface is easy to maintain and cleans easily.

    ELECTRIC106X Spectrum Motorized Projection Screen (56 x 90", 110V, 60Hz) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from smooth action, great price When shipped it is designed to install on a back wall, but my installation is on a front-cripple wall, it was a simple matter of swapping the end caps, checking level (don't want it to roll up funny and fray the edges now do we?) and it was up. the motor is quiet, and slow geared, so it is well timed with the warm up of the projector. it is easy to change the total exposed length, there by adjusting for the different aspect ratios I use. Reflective front works as advertised, with no dizzying rainbow effect seen on other materials. Screen is straight and ripple free so no need for tension wires in my application. All in all a good value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great screen on a budget! Overall I am very happy with this purchase. After first installing, I lowered the screen with no problems. When I tried to retract the screen back up, after reaching the top, the motor didn't stop. It kept trying to pull the screen further even though it was all the way up until I hit the stop button. After calling Elite, they emailed me a PDF with instructions to fix the issue. It was very simple, just using an allen wrench to turn one adjustment screw. It now works flawlessly and I am happy with a good screen at a great price. I do think the PDF they sent me should be included in a troubleshooting section of the owners manual though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for Don't get me wrong...for the money spent on this screen (less than $$) you won't find a more affordable way to get an acceptable home theater/projection screen setup into your home/office on a budget. The screen takes a little less than a minute to drop all the way down and the motor is quieter than expected. It's neat to have that remote controlled show off electric screen drop effect at such little cost and to bring that home theater experience to life. However, be warned that there is definitely a drawback to buying a screen in this price range. The left & right edges of the screen will definitely have a bend in them since this is a non-tensioned projection screen. That's right...the left and right sides of this screen do not hang straight down - they curve inward. Confirmed this when I called tech support @ Elite Screens. So this obviously causes anything that your projector displays on the extreme left/right sides to have a vertical bend. Generally this problem is not very noticeable when watching films (which is what most people will use their projection screens for anyway), so if you're going to use the screen strictly for movies & TV, this screen will be adequate. But if you also use your projector for gaming, presentations, or just general computer/laptop usage like I do, you will definitely notice the bends this screen causes, and it has become an annoyance for me. Honestly, had I known about this issue earlier, I may have bought a tensioned screen instead of this one. It's true that I saved a ton of money by going with this screen for my home theater setup and I understand that a tensioned screen with a display of this size costs around $1,000 ...but how many projection screens do you think you will buy in your lifetime?
