EverFocus EDR1640 16-CH 2TB MPEG4 DVR

The EverFocus EDR1640 16-Channel 2TB DVR can be used to manage the viewing, recording, and playback of up to 16 analog CCTV cameras both locally and from a remote Internet location. And thanks to its built-in multiplexer, all of these functions can be accessed simultaneously without affecting system performance.

Video is captured in the MPEG4 format at speeds up to 480 FPS and is stored to 2 internal hard drives that can be easily removed (hot swappable) for easy upgrade and archiving purposes. Storage capacity can be further expanded by connecting an external EverFocus EDA800 disk array to the SCSI port on this DVR.

A motion detection function, adjustable for size and sensitivity, can be applied to each video input. Motion detection events as well video loss, alarm input/reset and power on/off are stored into memory as event logs for retrieval when necessary.

Up to 4 channels of audio can be recorded along with video, with an internal synchronization system ensuring that audio remains in sync with the video.

This DVR runs on a Linux-based operating system for reliable and stable performance. An internal watchdog system continuously monitors DVR temperature and hard drive performance, and will restore system settings following a power failure. EverFocus also designed this DVR for easy operation, with a user friendly menu navigation system and with the ability to access functions from a distance using the provided handheld IR remote control.
