The PPM-LID16 from Middle Atlantic is the top cover option for the PPM-6-160B (a pivoting, wall-mounted rack). This unit provides a security cover for the wall-mounted rack, and helps to keep dust away from the equipment. The PPM-LID16 is also required if you want to install the optional doors for the PPM-6-160B.
I mounted the PPM-6-16OB (6 unit 16 deep) wall rack in our master closet (high up in the closet) under the a/c vent. The HPj9571a switch, POE injector, patch panel fit comfortably. After everything was punched down, I wanted a cleaner look and more security for the cables. Plus this top cover allowed me to place the Synology RT2600AC high enough to give great coverage for the wifi. Almost done with the rg6 cables, but these pictures will give you an idea of what a quality product this is. Its THICK gauge steel and very solid. Cant recommend this product enough. You can order this top cover by itself, but the cover does require the lid to be installed and you cannot mount it without this part.
