  • VGA Resolution
  • Progressive Scan
  • Easy Installation
The American Dynamics AXIS 209FD Network Camera is a discreet network camera for indoor video surveillance. It needs minimum space and has a flat, non-invasive design, making it an ideal choice for places such as shops, corridors, or hotel receptions.

The 209FD Network Camera offers VGA resolution (160x120 - 640x480) with a frame rate of up to 30 fps in maximum resolution. The progressive scan technology ensures clear images of moving objects without any distortion; this facilitates easy identification of individuals and objects. The event management capability includes video motion detection.

You can adjust the settings for various parameters like compression, color, brightness, sharpness, white balance, and exposure controls etc. The 209FD camera also lets you fine tune the behavior at low light. Adjustments to Exposure Priority, Max Exposure Time, and Max Gain produce optimal images to enhance your surveillance. Text and image overlay features further help in classifying and identifying the footage/shots.

Installing the fixed dome network camera is simple and can be done quickly. During installation, you can manually adjust the direction of the lens by tilting and panning. This makes the 209FD camera flexible for varied placements on walls or ceilings. You can adjust the camera angle to pan ±10°, tilt it between 0 and 90°, and rotate by ±10° to get the best possible coverage of the area under surveillance.

Power is supplied to the 209FD Network Camera by Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af Class 1) through the network itself. Since there is no need of power outlets at the camera location, installation costs are also reduced. The camera uses the Ethernet cable for video as well.

To ensure network security, the 209FD is multi-level password protected. IP address filtering and user access logs further secure the usage of the camera and its recordings. The camera has a tamper-resistant casing and can be operated between 32 and 122°F (0 - 50°C).
