The Nagra LB is a stereo audio recorder designed for broadcasting and location recording that packs a wealth of features into a lightweight, compact, and portable design. It offers a pair of analog XLR inputs and a stereo digital XLR input for sending audio to the device. The LB can record audio at rates up to 24-bit/192kHz in Linear PCM, MPEG-1 layer 2, and MP3 formats. Audio is captured to readily-available CompactFlash memory cards. A 2GB internal memory serves as a backup if the CF card becomes full, and also provides a brief window for CF cards to be swapped mid-recording.
The unit has a built-in mic and speaker for making quick audio notes or listening to recorded material. USB Host and Device connectors allow you to connect the LB to a computer or to a USB drive for file transfer. A bright color LCD display lets you monitor system operation, while a second color LCD is dedicated to the unit's onboard editing functions. After editing, audio files can be shared via USB, through the LB's Ethernet port, or with a GSM phone using the LB's Bluetooth capability. The unit operates on 8 AA batteries for easy replacement in the field.
