With its continued stellar reputation in high-definition distribution, Kramer once again raises-the-bar of excellence with its Cobra R500-2 Multi-Mode Video and RS-232 Receiver. Designed and built with both professional video facility installation pundits and HDTV home cinema enthusiasts in mind, this unit offers twisted pair (RJ-45) input signal conversion to a multi-format (15-pin HD) video output, and RS-232 serial control via a 3.5mm mini-jack. It's compatible with HDTV signals, supports resolutions up to UXGA and 720p/1080i, and works in conjunction with Kramer's Cobra series transmitters and matrix switchers. When paired with the required Cobra transmitter, the Cobra R500-2 offers a system range of up to 500' (150 m); it's an ideal solution for sending computer graphics video and HDTV signals over shielded or unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cabling such as standard CAT5, 5e, or 6 (Ethernet network cable).
Its high-quality video transport circuitry supports RGBHV, RGB, S-Video, Composite and Component signals. Its data mode protocol is asynchronous and offers data rates up to 19.2Kbps (duplex), and up to 115Kbps (simplex). Moreover, accurate video sync reproduction and stable imagery over long distance transmission is possible with the unit's Tru-Sync technology, and Multi-Pole Filtering technology offers advanced unbalanced twisted pair (UTP) attenuation and roll-off correction that's capable of reproducing amazingly sharp images or your Plasma/LCD display.
With its superb signal reliability and twisted pair signal transmission technology, the Kramer Cobra R500-2 is an ideal solution for long distance cable distribution often required by broadcast studios, presentation and multimedia applications, security and military installations.
