In terms of quality, it's definitely a step down from a K-Tek Pole, but for this price, you'd be locked into aluminum poles among the more "premium" brands, which are significantly heavier. It feels very sturdy, and I trust it to hold a blimp with mic and a cable at its full extension. The knuckles are not metal, I'm not sure if it's plastic or some form of fiber material, but they feel surprisingly fragile.
