question
Would this work for replacing the stock RDE VideoMic Pro shock mount?
Yes - even Rycote show an example on their Flickr page. I'll honour B&H's instructions not to include a link, but browse Rycote's InVision album on Flickr

would this also work with a boom pole?
would this also work with a boom pole?
This shock mount is designed specifically to be inserted into a hot shoe of a camera. I would recommend the Rycote Universal Shotgun Mount for Cameras and Boom Poles, B&H # RYUSGM. This model, which features a Duo-Lyre Cradle, is designed for use with a boom pole or to be mounted on a camera.

question
Pertaining to the question regarding whether or not this mount will work with the videomic pro, for those who do use it, is this the best way to go?
I use it with a Sennheiser ME 64 with the K6 powering module, AA battery and aRycote Standard Hole Softie Windscreen. I think the my set up weights about the same as the Rode videomic pro. It works great for me! The RycoteLyre Shockmount is the best I've used with a DSLR. I work professionally and highly recommend Rycote shock mounts

question
Will this work to replace my original ride videomic's (not the pro) stock elastic suspension system? Cause replacing those elastics is a pain. Or do I need to find a Rode Lyre?
Rde provide a Lyre Upgrade for the original VideoMic. A search for 'rode videomic lyre upgrade' should get what you are looking for.
