The ARW51 from Acoustic Research is a simple and convenient modular wireless adapter system that allows you to turn speakers in your home theater surround sound system into a wireless 5.1 system, eliminating the need to run wires across the room. The system consists of a wireless transmitter, 5 amplified speaker receivers, and a subwoofer receiver.
The transmitter connects to your home theater and uses 2.4GHz technology to send uncompressed CD-quality audio to the receivers, to ensure you get nothing but dynamic audio with a wide dynamic range and a full frequency response. The transmitter can also hop from one channel to another to avoid interference.
Each speaker receiver has an integrated 60W amplifier for powering a speaker. Standard 5-way binding post outputs let you connect the receivers to practically any home theater speakers. The subwoofer receiver has an RCA line output, and is designed to work with subwoofers that have an integrated amplifier. Multiple receivers can be tuned to the same transmitter channel if desired, perfect for multi-room music applications.
