Nice product specially made for Manfrotto 694CX, made it a lot more stable and efficient, you won't go wrong with this item if you own said Tripod, but pricey, otherwise 5 Stars.

Bought this for my Manfrotto carbon fiber monopod. Build quality as one expects from Manfrotto. Fits the monopod leg well. I carry my tripod and monopod in a flexible golf bag, therefore I'd like to have had a means of locking the pad in its folded position to keep it from snagging on the tripod's fittings. Illness has prevented a shake-down field test, but the pad held well on my polished wood floor, and the spike did the same when tried in my wife's large-and-low cactus pot.

If you take the foot off are you left with a 3/8-16 female connection? I was thinking about using a three legged end.

Unfortunately, you would be left with a hollow tube when removing this foot, being that the collar is attached to the foot.
