Manfrotto 160SP1 Overview

The Manfrotto 160SP1 Spiked Foot is an optional spike/rubber foot for the 694CX monopod, made from durable rubber and anodized aluminum alloy so that it will be extremely resistant to corrosion.  Having a spiked foot is beneficial anytime you're shooting upon soft earth surfaces.  A dedicated mounting tool is included.

I use the spiked foot to stabilize my monopod. The best thing about is the ability to change between the spike and the rubber foot depending on the surface and the angle of cantilever I apply to the monopod. It could be a little tighter on the securing ring and the monopod shaft.

Could the screw at the bottom be used to screw into a set of legs for a monopod....what size is the screw. What diameter is the top part?

The foot is designed to clamp onto the 694CX monopod which has a 5/8 diameter bottom section. The steel screw is imbeded in the clamp part. The rubber foot is threaded and screws up and down on the steel spike to expose or hide it. Contact Manfrotto if you need to know the size/thread of the spike. I suspect it is metric.
